Honest timber. Permanent structures.

We combine traditional mortise-and-tenon framing with modern building science. Our family keeps our hands on every chisel and beam from foundation to finish, ensuring structural integrity that lasts.

Our Capabilities

Built for generations

Every project we undertake is engineered for permanence, utilizing sustainably sourced local timber and time-tested structural joinery.

Custom Timber Framing

Structural Renovations

Architectural Millwork

We cut traditional mortise-and-tenon timber frames without hidden metal hangers, utilizing local white oak and hemlock dried properly for our climate to ensure a generational build.

We undertake complex structural renovations that preserve historic integrity while upgrading older timber frames to modern structural engineering and energy efficiency standards.

Our workshop produces custom architectural millwork, built-ins, and heavy timber trusses cut from sustainably sourced local hardwoods, shaped to fit your specific architectural plans.

Timber Selection

Hand-Cut Joinery

On-Site Raising

We hand-select local white oak and hemlock, ensuring each timber is graded for maximum structural integrity and natural beauty.

Every mortise, tenon, and scarf joint is cut by hand in our workshop, flush to the millimeter for a perfect fit.

Our family supervises the entire on-site raising, securing the timber frame with traditional wooden pegs that tighten over time.
